Frozen Flower Fun Fillers
WRITTEN BY: AUDREY CHANEY
It’s officially spring! I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the season than with a fun, sensory activity for your kiddos! Today, we’re making Frozen Flower Fun Fillers. This simple activity uses items you likely already have at home and provides a cool (literally 🧊), hands-on experience for children of all ages. Let’s dive into this refreshing and floral-filled activity! 🌼

Here’s what you’ll need:
- Muffin tin
- Silicone liners (helpful but not necessary)
- Water
- Fun filler of your choice - I used Funky Farm Fun Fillers!
- Flowers
Step 1: Place the silicone muffin liners into each muffin tin cup

Step 2: Sprinkle fun fillers into each muffin cup
Step 3: Add a variety of flowers to your muffin cups

Step 4: Fill each muffin cup up with water and give it a nice little stir

Step 5: Freeze your fun filler cups
Step 6: Once your Frozen Flower Fun Fillers are ready, pull out each liner and release the ice into a water friendly environment like a sensory bin!
Let your child explore as the trapped flowers and fun fillers are released. They can stir them in water, transfer them between containers and observe the sensory bin gradually fill up with treasures. Our Pick Up Pals and Glo Pals add an extra layer of fun to this activity!

This Frozen Flower Fun Filler activity is more than just pleasing to the eyes! It’s a fantastic way for children to explore their senses. The cold ice, the textures of the flowers and the melting process all provide valuable sensory input. It encourages tactile exploration, visual stimulation and even auditory development as the ice cracks and melts. Plus, it’s a wonderful way to spark curiosity and imaginative play! We would absolutely love to see your creations – share your Frozen Flower Fun Filler photos on social media using #glopals and tag us @glopals. Let’s spread the joy and beauty of spring together!
